- General description: Immobilon®-P PVDF Membrane is an original, and most used, polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) transfer membrane for western blotting. It has a 0.45 μm pore size and is recommended for blotting proteins >20 kDa. The Immobilon®-P membrane has excellent protein retention, high physical strength, and broad chemical compatibility, making it ideal for a variety of staining applications and reprobing in immunodetection methods.
- Application: Immobilon®-P PVDF Membrane has been used in western blotting.[1][2]
- Features and Benefits: Compatible with a variety of detection methods, including radioactive, chromogenic, and chemiluminescent techniques. High protein adsorption and retention ensures greater sensitivity Devoid of crack or curl like nitrocellulose. Can be cut without fracturing and reprobed multiple times. Eliminates the need for blocking and reduces detection times by up to 2 hours.
