Qualitative Fit Testing (QLFT) is a pass/fail fit test that assesses the adequacy of respirator fit based on individual response to the aerosol test agent
Test may be used for all tight-fitting, negative pressure face pieces that will be used in atmospheres up to 10 times OSHA Permissible Exposure Limits (PEL)
In addition to conducting the fit test, technicians will instruct wearers on all training points, such as donning/doffing, maintenance/storage, and more
Qualitative fit testing is conducted using the test agent Saccharin or Bitrex™ solution aerosol
