- The iBind Western Device is a small benchtop device that automates western blot processing (immunodetection)
- It applies mechanical pressure to an iBind Card to generate sequential lateral flow (SLF) of immunodetection solutions for the blocking, antibody binding, and washingsteps
- The glass fiber matrix of the iBind Card allows for homogenous and consistent flow of the solutions over the membrane, increasing the antigen-antibody interaction
- The iBind Western Device allows all solutions to be prepared and loaded in the device at the start of the procedure; all subsequent steps proceed automatically through SLF action—no electricity or batteries required
- Blots are ready for the final detection steps in approximately 2.5 hours
- The iBind Western Device works exclusively with iBind Cards, and the iBind Solution Kit or iBind Fluorescent Detection (FD) Solution Kit to process one mini-blot.
