Description
- General description: Moisture trap or drying tube is suitable to maintain anhydrous conditions within the apparatus. There are two types of drying tubes. It is usually prepared by placing a small, loose plug of glass wool or cotton into the constriction at the end of the tube. A drying agent is poured on top the plug.[1] Molecular sieve 5A has the affinity for water and easily displaces other trapped gases.[2]
