  • Application: Methylcyclohexane may be used as a solvent for the synthesis of unsolvated n-butylmagnesium chloride by the reaction of 1-chlorobutane with magnesium powder.[1] It may also be used as the starting material to synthesize 1-methylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid.[2]
