- Application: Ethylmagnesium chloride solution can be used: In Cp2ZrCl2 catalyzed ethylcarboxylation of alkenes using carbon dioxide to corresponding carboxylic acids.[1] In the preparation of cyclobutylmagnesium carbenoids by reacting with 1-chlorocyclobutyl p-tolyl sulfoxides.[2]
