- General description: Methyldibromoglutaronitrile (MDBGN) is a bromine-containing preservative[1] and a clinically significant allergen as investigated from animal/human clinical studies.[2]
- Application: Methyldibromoglutaronitrile may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in cosmetic products using ultra performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) coupled to inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS)[1] and gas chromatography followed by mass spectrometry technique.[7]
