- Application: Sodium carbonate can be used as:Pore-inducing agent to synthesize Fe-based oxygen reduction catalysts. An alkaline solid sorbent to capture CO2 in flue gases.A precursor to synthesize high magnesium-bearing calcites in the pure phase. It can also be used to modify the internal structure of the ZSM-5 catalyst, for conducting methanol to gasoline reactions.
- Biochem/physiol Actions: Buffer component, may be used for the removal of peripheral membrane proteins.
