Description
- General description: Ambroxol hydrochloride is a mucolytic expectorant and a metabolite of bromhexine.[1][2] It is used in the treatment of respiratory disorders characterized by viscous or excessive mucus.[3]
- Application: Ambroxol hydrochloride standard may be used as a reference standard in the determination of ambroxol hydrochloride in pharmaceutical preparations using reversed-phase sequential injection chromatography (RP-SIC)[1] and reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC).[2]
