Description

• General description: Each unit of SRM 3134 contains five sealed borosilicate glass ampoules, each containing 10 mL of an acidified aqueous solution, gravimetrically prepared to have a known mass fraction of molybdenum.The solution includes approximately 10% volume fraction of hydrochloric acid, corresponding to an approximate molarity of 1.2 mol/L.SRM 3134_certSRM 3134_SDS
• Application: The SRM is intended as a primary calibration standard for the quantitative molybdenum determination.
• Features and Benefits: The certified value of the SRM was determined by calculating the mass fraction values of mercury, which is obtained through two methods:Gravimetric preparation using high-purity molybdenum metal assayed by NISTIsotope-dilution cold-vaporinductively coupled plasma – mass spectrometry (ID-ICP-MS). The certified value is metrologically traceable to the SI unit of mass fraction, expressed as micrograms per gram.The NIST certificate is provided with period of validity, storage, handling, use, and maintenance instructions.
