Description

  • Special procedures are required for the proper preparation of menhaden oil diets since these polyunsaturated oils rapidly oxidize upon exposure to air
  • Under normal conditions, an unacceptable level of oxidation occurs after just three days of exposure to the atmosphere
  • In order to minimize oxidation, MP Biomedicals packages the diets under nitrogen in sealed bags
  • It is recommended that these diets be kept frozen and accordingly, the products are shipped on dry ice.
