• Description: The monoclonal antibody NIMR-4 reacts specifically with a non-polymorphic I-A-encoded epitope on MHC Class II antigens
• Class II antigens are predominantly expressed on antigen-presenting cells including B lymphocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells and certain epithelial cells
• MHC Class II molecules are important for the selection of the TCR repertoire during the processes of positive and negative selection
• MHC Class II expression is required for the positive selection of CD4+ T cells
• Applications Reported: This NIMR-4 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis
• Applications Tested: This NIMR-4 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes
• This can be used at less than or equal to 0.25 μg per test
• A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL
• Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test
• It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest
