Description
- Description: This MB-1 monoclonal antibody recognizes human CD37
- This tetraspanin is expressed on mature B cells, but not on pro-B or plasma cells
- CD37 is also weakly expressed on T cells, monocytes, neutrophils, dendritic cells, and macrophages
- This cell surface glycoprotein is not detected on NK cells, platelets, or erythrocytes
- CD37 is highly expressed on all forms of B cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma, chronic lymphocyte leukemia, and other leukemias
- CD37 reportedly associates with MHC class II, CD19, CD21, and other members of the tetraspanin family
- CD37 has been implicated in signal transduction, B cell activation, and T cell proliferation
- CD37 has been used as a therapeutic target for treating B cell malignancies
- Applications Reported: This MB-1 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis
- Applications Tested: This MB-1 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells
- This can be used at 5 μL (0.06 μg) per test
- A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL
- Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test
- Excitation: 633-647 nm; Emission: 660 nm; Laser: Red Laser
- Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered
- The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family
- Most of these members are cell-surface proteins that are characterized by the presence of four hydrophobic domains
- The proteins mediate signal transduction events that play a role in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth and motility
- This encoded protein is a cell surface glycoprotein that is known to complex with integrins and other transmembrane 4 superfamily proteins
- It may play a role in T-cell-B-cell interactions
- Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
