• Description: The JES6-5H4 antibody reacts with mouse interleukin-2 (IL-2), a 17 kDa T cell growth factor and a major immunoregulatory cytokine
• Applications Reported: JES6-5H4 has been reported for use in intracellular flow cytometric analysis
• Applications Tested: This JES6-5H4 antibody has been tested intracellular staininf of stimulated mouse splenocytes
• This can be used at less than or equal to 0.25 μg per test
• A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL
• Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test
• It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest

• The targeted disruption of a gene similar to IL-2 in mice leads to an μgcerative colitis-like disease that suggests an essential role of this gene in the immune response to antigenic stimuli.
