- If the protein is bound to a transcriptional insulator element, it can block communication between enhancers and upstream promoters, thereby regulating imprinted expression
- Mutations in this gene have been associated with invasive breast cancers, prostate cancers, and Wilms′ tumors.Tissue specificity: Ubiquitous
