- Store vial at -20°C prior to opening

- This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid

- Glut-2 antibody is directed against Glut2 protein
- A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Glut2 from mouse and rat based on a 100% homology with the immunizing sequence
- Reactivity against homologues from other sources is not known
- Glucose transporter 2 isoform is an integral plasma membrane glycoprotein of the liver, islet beta cells, intestine, and kidney epithelium
- It mediates facilitated bidirectional glucose transport
- Because of its low affinity for glucose, it has been suggested as a glucose sensor
- Mutations in the gene that encode this protein cause Fanconi-Bickel syndrome.
