- Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Biotin, anti-Rabbit Serum as well as purified and partially purified Aldehyde Dehydrogenase [Yeast]
- Cross reactivity against Aldehyde Dehydrogenase from other sources may occur but have not been specifically determined
- Cytoplasmic aldehyde dehydrogenase is involved in ethanol oxidation
- Aldehyde dehydrogenase is required for pantothenic acid production through the conversion of 3-aminopropanal to beta-alanine, an intermediate in pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) and coenzyme A (CoA) biosynthesis.
