Description

• Store vial at -20°C prior to opening
• Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage
• Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing
• Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature
• This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid
• Dilute only prior to immediate use
• Expect reactivity against DIG-labeled probes and proteins
• Digoxin, also known as digitalis, is a purified cardiac glycoside extracted from the foxglove plant, Digitalis lanata
• Its corresponding aglycone is digoxigenin, and its acetyl derivative is acetyldigoxin
• Digoxin is widely used in the treatment of various heart conditions, namely atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter and sometimes heart failure that cannot be controlled by other medication
• Digoxin preparations are commonly marketed under the trade names Lanoxin, Digitek, and Lanoxicaps
• Digoxin is also used as an affinity system for nonradioactive labeling and detection of proteins and nucleic acids.
