• Store vial at -20°C prior to opening
• Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage
• Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing
• Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature
• This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid
• Dilute only prior to immediate use
• A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with rat, mouse, human, and bovine based on 100% sequence homology
• Cross-reactivity with HDAC8 from other sources has not been determined

• Several mammalian proteins have been identified as nuclear histone acetylases, including GCN5, PCAF (p300/CBP-associated factor), p300/CBP, HAT1 and the TFIID subunit TAF II p250
• Mammalian HDAC8, isolated from human kidney, is a histone deacetylase that shares homology to other HDACs but has different tissue distribution
• HDAC8 is localized to the nucleus and plays a role in the development of a broad range of tissues and in the etiology of cancer.
