- Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IL-19
- Anti-Human IL-19-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human IL-19 matrix
- Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human IL-19 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5-2.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required
- This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human IL-19 (500-P189Bt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human IL-19
- Western Blot: To detect Human IL-19 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL
- Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant Human IL-19 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions
- The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the IL10 cytokine subfamily
- This cytokine is found to be preferentially expressed in monocytes
- It can bind the IL20 receptor complex and lead to the activation of the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3)
- A similar cytokine in mouse is reported to up-regulate the expression of IL6 and TNF-alpha and induce apoptosis, which suggests a role of this cytokine in inflammatory responses
- Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the distinct isoforms have been described.
