- Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human TFF-2 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required
- This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti- Human TFF-2 (500-P312) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human TFF-2
- Western Blot: To detect Human TFF-2 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL
- When used in conjunction with compatible development reagents the detection limit for Recombinant Human TFF-2 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions

- SP (spasmolytic polypeptide), also designated Trefoil factor 2 (TFF2) precursor, is a trefoil protein that functions to inhibit gastrointestinal motility and gastric acid secretion
- SP may also act as a structural component of the gastric mucus, possibly by stabilizing glycoproteins in the mucus gel through interactions with carbohydrate side chains
- A downregulation of SP expression is associated with primary gastric cancer, and a progressive loss of this protein is likely to be involved in the early stage of the multi-step gastric carcinogenesis pathway.
