Description

  • Changes in gene expression are associated with changes in chromatin structure, which can result from modification of histones by acetylation and methylation
  • In addition, SWI/SNF proteins can effect chromatin structure and gene expression by causing ATP-dependent disruption of the nucleosome and by enhancing binding of transcription factors
