Description

  • The 6A6 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to mouse CD96, which is also known as T cell-activated increased late expression protein (Tactile, TACT)
  • CD96 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to the Ig gene superfamily
  • It is variably expressed on NK cells , and T cells at all developmental stages, including thymocytes and mature αβ T cells, γδ T cells , and NKT cells
  • CD96 interacts with Nectin-1 (CD111) and CD155 (poliovirus receptor)
  • CD96 can reportedly mediate adhesive interactions between NK cells or T cells and CD155+ target cells
  • CD96 may compete with CD226 (DNAM 1) for CD155 binding and thus limit NK cell cytokine responses.
