Immunogen

Human erythrocytes

Primary or Secondary

Primary

Test Specificity

NBP2-33304 recognises the erythrocyte transmembrane glycoprotein CD236, also known as glycophorin C (GPC). CD236 is an integral membrane protein which carries the Gerbich blood group antigens. Expression of CD236 is not restricted to erythroid cells, but is broadly distributed in both erythroid and non-erythroid tissues. Clone BRIC4 specifically reacts with an epitope located within residues 2-21 of CD236.

Content And Storage

Store at 4°C in the dark.

Applications

Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Immunohistochemistry (Frozen)

Clone

BRIC4

Dilution

Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Immunohistochemistry-Frozen

Gene Alias

CD236, CD236 antigen, CD236R, GE, GLPC, glycoconnectin, glycophorin C (Gerbich blood group), glycophorin-C, glycophorin-D, Glycoprotein beta, GPCMGC126191, GPD, GYPD, MGC117309, MGC126192, PAS-2, PAS-2′, Sialoglycoprotein D

Antigen:
Lambda Light Chain

Classification:
Monoclonal

Conjugate:
Alexa Fluor 350

Formulation:
50 mM sodium borate with 0.05% sodium azide

Gene Symbols:
IGLC1

Immunogen:
Human IgG was used as immunogen to generate the Lambda antibody.

Primary or Secondary:
Primary

Test Specificity:
This monoclonal antibody is specific to lambda light chain of immunoglobulin and shows no cross-reaction with lambda light chain or any of the five heavy chains. In mammals, the two light chains in an antibody are always identical, with only one type of light chain, kappa or lambda. The ratio of Kappa to Lambda is 70:30. However, with the occurrence of multiple myeloma or other B-cell malignancies this ratio is disturbed. Antibody to the lambda light chain is reportedly useful in the identification of leukemias, plasmacytomas, and certain non-Hodgkins lymphomas. Demonstration of clonality in lymphoid infiltrates indicates that the infiltrate is malignant.

Content And Storage:
Store at 4°C in the dark.

Applications:
Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin)

Clone:
ICO-106

Dilution:
Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin, Immunohistochemistry-Frozen
