  • STK38L (also known as NDR2) or Nuclear Dbf2-related protein is a serine/threonine kinase in the subgroup of the AGC kinase family
  • STK38L act as novel pro-apoptotic kinase that is activated by RASSF1A/MST1 in response to Fas receptor stimulation and promotes apoptosis
  • STK38L is mainly involved in the regulation of structural processes in differentiating and mature neuronal cells and it is highly expressed with highest levels observed in the thymus
  • STK38L contains 12 protein kinase catalytic subdomains and a potential bipartite nuclear localization signal.
