- Preparation: This antibody was obtained from a rabbit immunized with purified, recombinant Human ESAM (Met1-Ala248) and conjugated with PE under optimum conditions, the unreacted PE was removed
- Storage: This antibody can be stored at 2C-8C for twelve months without detectable loss of activity
- Protected from prolonged exposure to light
- Do not freeze! Sodium azide is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly
- Flush with large volumes of water during disposal
- ESAM is a 55-kDa membrane protein composed of 2 extracellular Ig domains, a single transmembrane domain, and a 120 amino acid cytoplasmic domain
- ESAM is related to members of the junctional adhesion molecule (JAM) family, and is expressed on endothelial cells and activated platelets
- ESAM at endothelial tight junctions plays a role in the regulation of vascular permeability, in response to agents such as VEGF or extravasating neutrophils.
