  • This protein binds to the sterol-sensing domains of SREBP cleavage-activating protein (SCAP) and HMG CoA reductase, and is essential for the sterol-mediated trafficking of the two proteins
  • Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed.
