- A 1:1,000 dilution of PA5-77796 was sufficient for detection of TCF4 in 15 μg of mouse liver cell lysates by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.∣Detects 71 kDa, 45 kDa
- 45 kDa band represents a different isoform
- TCF4 is transcription factor 4, a basic helix-turn-helix transcription factor
- The encoded protein recognizes an Ephrussi-box ('E-box') binding site ('CANNTG')-a motif first identified in immunoglobulin enhancers
- This gene is expressed predominantly in pre-B-cells, although it is found in other tissues as well
- Defects in this gene are a cause of Pitt-Hopkins syndrome.
