- General description: Phosphatidylcholine (PC) is an important constituent of the mucosal layer of the colon.[1] 18:0-18:1 PC (1-stearoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) has a phosphocholine backbone.
- Application: 18:0-18:1 PC (1-stearoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) may be used: in liposomes for liposome binding assays[2] to prepare giant unilamellar vesicles (GUVs) by electroformation[3] to prepare lipid vesicles[4]
