- Beta-glucosidase (β-Glu) catalyzes the hydrolysis of the glycosidic bonds to terminal non-reducing residues in beta-D-glucosides and oligosaccharides, with release of glucose
- The BioTracker 510 Green β-Glu Dye is permeable through the cell membrane and is fluorescent substrate 9- (4′-methoxy-2′-methylphenyl) -6- (β-D-glucopylanosyloxy) -xanthen-3-one for detecting β-glucosidase in living cells
- Non-fluorescent dye is hydrolyzed by the β-Glucosidase, and generates bright green fluorescence (510 nm) when it is irradiated by the 490 nm excitation light
- Absorbance: 492 nm Emission: 510 nm
