Description
- General description: Sulfacetamide Sodium belongs to the class of sulfonamides,[1] widely used in ophthalmic preparations, to treat different ocular infections such as corneal ulcers and conjunctivitis. It shows bactericidal activity against susceptible microorganisms.[2]
- Application: Sulfacetamide Sodium may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations[1][3] by spectrometric technique[1] and micellar electro-kinetic chromatography.[3]
