Description

  • Simplify the binding process with a universal binding reagent by using Thermo Scientific™ Fluoro-Max Fluorescent Streptavidin-Coated Particles in a variety of applications such as clinical diagnostics, immuno/histological studies and research
  • With an extremely broad Stokes shift, europium chelate particles help prevent nonspecific fluorescence interference
  • They are also excellent for quantitative membrane-based rapid assays, heterogeneous assays, luminescent assays, research applications, phagocytosis studies, cell surface markers and pore size determination
  • When excited with UV light at its maximal absorbance wavelength of 333 nm, europium chelate particles emit long-lived luminescence at 613 nm, with a lifetime of approximately 0.5 milliseconds, which is about 10,000 to 100,000 times longer than the lifetimes of most fluorophores
  • This extremely long lifetime allows the application of europium particles to time-resolved fluorescence and can reduce the detection limits of fluorescence assays many orders of magnitude by elimination of background interference from relatively short-lived matrix fluorescence
  • Made by dyeing Thermo Scientific™ OptiLink™ Carboxylate-Modified particles with europium chelate Specifically designed for membrane or automated fluorometric-based applications Available in standard 0.3 μM diameter Dyed internally to prevent dye leaching and to assure maximum surface immunoreactivity Fluoro-Max Fluorescent Benefits Bind ligands without dye interference Dye-free surface for coupling High protein binding capacity Readily adsorbs proteins Optimize assays by controlling sensitivity, specificity and stability Optimized acid content Recommended for: Clinical diagnostics Molecular biology Lateral flow, turbidimetric and slide aggulation assays
