Description
- Application: Linoleic acid-water soluble has been used as a component of fatting media for the in vitro steatosis induction of primary human hepatocytes (PHH).[1]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: Linoleic acid (LA) is an arachidonic acid precursor,[2] which is present in vegetable oils.[3] It enhances wound healing in diabetic rats.[2] LA triggers tumor and apoptosis in colorectal cancer cells.[3] The levels of LA in adipose tissue and platelets are associated with coronary artery disease.[4] Linoleic acid binds to molecules, such as bovine serum albumin (BSA)[5] or cyclodextrin for use in cell culture.[6]
- Other Notes: Contains approx. 30 mg of linoleic acid per gram; balance methyl-β-cyclodextrin.Package size based on linoleic acid content.
