Description

  • General description: Polysucrose is water-soluble, nontoxic, resistant to intestinal enzymes, spherical and can be produced with a molecular weight distribution that relates to the size of many normal food proteins. [1]
  • Application: Polysucrose has been used in a study to develop a new method for the purification of human motile spermatozoa. [2] It has also been used in a study that investigated the antiproliferative and antitumor activities of D-reverse peptides. [3]
  • Other Notes: A nonionic synthetic polymer of sucrose.
  • Linkage: Similar to Ficoll 400, but from a different supplier.
