- General description: The Pasteur pipettes are made of soda-lime-glass (ISO 7712) and feature a long and drawn-out shape. The pipettor end is specifically designed with a constriction to accommodate the insertion of a cotton plug.
- Application: Pasteur pipettes has been used: to transfer supernatant to high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) vials in sample enrichment process for studying the impact of pesticide application in agriculture on groundwater quality.[1] in the process of adjusting concentrate and transfer during sample preparation via vacuum-assisted evaporation.[2] to prepare a packed column with silica or Celite for GC sample preparation.[3]
