- General description: L-α-Phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) is the second most abundant phospholipid in animals, plants and yeast.[1]
- Application: Egg Liss Rhod PE is suitable for the preparation of rhodamine dye labelled targeted nanoparticle (TNP) and RhB-labeled PEGylated nanoparticles.[2] It has been used to stain lipids during vesicle preparation.[3] It is also suitable to label liposomes[4]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: Egg Liss Rhod PE is a fluorescent labelling lipid, useful to study the nanoparticle - cell interactions.[5] L-α-Phosphatidylethanolamine maintains membrane integrity.[6]
