  • General description: 16:0-18:0 (9-10BR) PC (1-palmitoyl-2-(9,10-dibromo) stearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) is a brominated phosphatidylcholine lipid.[1] This lipid is stable for one year.
  • Application: 16:0-18:0 (9-10BR) PC (1-palmitoyl-2-(9,10-dibromo) stearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) has been used in large unilamellar vesicles (LUVs) and small unilamellar vesicles (SUVs) for fluorescence quenching.[2] It has also been used to prepare large unilamellar vesicles (LUV) for liposome co-sedimentation assay.[3] It may be used as a component in large unilamellar liposomes for parallax analysis[4] and in lipid vesicle preparation for tryptophan (Trp) penetration depth experiments/bromine quenching experiments.[1][5]
