- Application: 18:1 CDP DG (1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-(cytidine diphosphate)) may be used in preparation of liposomes.[1]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: 18:1 CDP DG (1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-(cytidine diphosphate)) is a diacylglycerol derivate.[2] It acts as a substrate for phosphatidylserine synthase (Pss), an enzyme involved in the synthesis of phospholipids in various organisms.[3] CDP-diacylglycerol serves as a precursor for the biosynthesis of phosphatidylinositides. Dysregulated CDP-diacylglycerol signaling pathway leads to depression.[2]
