Description

  • General description: Phosphatidylglycerol (PG) is mostly found in the pulmonary surfactant and localized to the alveoli.[1]
  • Application: 17:0-20:4 PG or 1-heptadecanoyl-2-(5Z,8Z,11Z,14Z-eicosatetraenoyl)-sn-glycero-3-phospho-(1′-rac-glycerol):has been used as an internal standard (IS) in lipid extraction from isolated pure mitochondria for mass spectrometry (MS) analysis[2]has been used as an internal standard (IS) in liquid chromatography (LC)-MS analysis[3]might be used in dual substrate (acyl-CoA and lysophospholipid) choice acyltransferase assay[4]might be used for quantitative phospholipid analysis by MS[5]
  • Biochem/physiol Actions: Phosphatidylglycerol (PG) is known to be involved in the inflammatory mechanism and offers protection against viral infection.[1]
  • Packaging: 2 mL Amber Glass Sealed Ampule (LM1202-1EA)
