• General description: Biotin phosphoramidite is a reagent used to directly incorporate a biotin label at the 5′ hydroxy group of the terminal nucleoside base through a p-aminophenethyl spacer group during oligonucleotide synthesis. The photocleavable biotin phosphoramidite reagent is compatible with automated DNA/RNA synthesizers using phosphoramidite chemistry. The length of the p-aminophenethyl spacer group allows streptavidin affinity purification of the oligonucleotide by reverse-phase HPLC.
