• General description: Edetate Calcium Disodium is a metal-chelating agent, typically used for the treatment of symptomatic and severe lead poisoning.[1] It also finds application in the prevention of calcium depletion in the body. It can be used as a flavoring and color retention agent in food products.[2]Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards.
