Tylosin solution

• General description: Chemical structure: macrolide
• Application: Tylosin solution has been used as an antimicrobial agent in antibiotic susceptibility minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC) of E. coli and S. aureus isolates.[2] It has also been used as a component of Dulbecco′s modified Eagle′s (DMEM) medium for self-inactivating lentivirus production[3] and skin fibroblast cultivation.[4]
• Biochem/physiol Actions: Tylosin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the large subunit 50S.[2] It is effective against Gram-positive bacteria and mycoplasma and is used in veterinary medicine.[1] It has been used to study implant site abscess prevention in cattle[5] and Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma meleagridis infections.

• Preparation Note: This product was formulated to contain 8 mg/ml tylosin in 0.9% sodium chloride.
• Storage and Stability: Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and keep upright to prevent leakage.
