Description

  • General description: 3-(Dimethylamino)-1-propylamine (DMAPA, N,N-dimethyl-1,3-propanediamine)[1] is a dialkylamino alkyl amine.[2] It has been prepared from dimethylamine and acrylonitrile and confirmed by 1H NMR.[3] It participates in the synthesis of bio-based zwitterionic surfactants from waste cooking oil (WCO).[4]
  • Application: 3-(Dimethylamino)-1-propylamine (DMAPA) is suitable reagent used in the following studies:As a cationic moiety to form the ionic liquid, 3-(dimethylamino)-1-propylaminium formate ([DMAPA]FA) which is a potential reagent to extract protein from yeast cells.[1]As an aminating agent in the palladium-catalyzed amination of aryl amines.[5]In the derivatization of pullulan to form cationic pullulan.[6]In the partial modification of poly(styrene-alt-maleic anhydride) to form N-substituted maleimide.[7]As a test compound in the parallel synthesis of alkylamine lipidoids.[8]To cleave the polyamides synthesized by solid phase methods on Boc-β-Ala-PAM resin.[9] It may be used in the following studies:Synthesis of (N,N-dialkylamino)alkyl-2-amino benzamide by reacting with isatoic anhydride.[2]As a reagent for the anomeric deacetylation of protected sugars.[10] Preparation of bioreducible copolymers used in gene delivery.[11]
