- General description: 4,7-Dimethoxy-1,10-phenanthroline is an organic compound that is used as an efficient ligand in organic synthesis. It is used in the N-arylation of imidazole with aryl iodides and bromides in the presence of copper catalysts. Various hindered and functionalized imidazoles and aryl halides were converted using this catalyst.
