Description

  • General description: Hexamethylenetetramine (HMT), a water-soluble and cage-like organic building block, is employed to form novel coordination polymers.[1] Its ability to inhibit the corrosion of mild steel in sulfuric acid solution has been investigated.[2] The piezoelectric effect observed in the crystals of HMT has been analyzed.[3] The preparation of certain binary, ternary and quaternary metal oxides via solution combustion technique using HMT as a fuel has been described.[4]
  • Application: Hexamethylenetetramine may be used to synthesize:nitrogen-doped yellowish rutile titania[5]nitrogen-doped graphene sheets (NGS)[6]highly stable graphene aqueous dispersions[7]
