Description

  • Application: Palladium on barium sulfate (Pd/BaSO4), also known as Rosenmund catalyst, is used for the decarboxylation of aliphatic esters for further production of biodiesel.[1] It can also be used in hydrogenation reaction.[2] Pd/BaSO4 may be used as a catalyst reservoir for the Stille cross-coupling reaction between iodobenzene and tributylphenyltin.[3]
