Description

  • General description: Butylamine (n-Butylamine, BuA) is a primary aliphatic amine. Its pyrolysis mechanism has been investigated.[1] BuA can be synthesized from butyronitrile via Co/SiO2 (silicon dioxide) assisted hydrogenation.[2][3] A decrease in fluorescence intensity was observed on adding BuA to a solution of colloidal CdSe nanoparticles (NPs).[4]
  • Application: Butylamine (n-Butylamine) may be used as a template to generate hierarchical monolithic zeolites.[5] It may also be used as a dispersion medium for fluorinated graphene sheets (F-GSs) to generate butylamine modified F-GSs.[6]
