  • Application: Platinum on carbon (5 wt.% loading, matrix activated carbon support) (Pt/C) can be used as a catalyst for a variety of applications, such as:hydrosilylation reaction for the production of molecules with silicon-carbon bonds[1]direct alcohol fuel cells (DAFCs)[2][3]an electrocatalyst in hydrogen evolution reaction (HER)[4]formation of nanocatalyst for polymer electrolyte fuel cells[5]hydrogenation of alkenes, alkynes, nitro groups, ketones, and aromaticshydrogenolysis of cyclopropanesoxidation of alcohols.Pt/C can also be used as an hydrosilylation catalyst. It can convert alkenes and alkynes to chlorosilanes, alkylsilanes, and alkoxysilanes at the temperature and pressure conditions of 100-300 oC and 30-1000 psi, respectively.[6]It may be also used as a catalyst in methanol fuel cells.[7]Product can be used with our benchtop hydrogen generator, H-Genie Lite (Z744083)
