Description

  • General description: Manganese(II) chloride tetrahydrate is a hydrated metal chloride.3 Its toxicity in Swiss mice has been assessed.[1] It participates in the preparation of metal(II) complexes of mixed ligands-dimethydithiocarbamic and p-aminobenzoic acids.3
  • Application: Manganese(II) chloride tetrahydrate has been used in a loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) method for the detection of nucleic acids.[2]Manganese(II) chloride tetrahydrate may be used:As a promoter for the microwave-assisted synthesis of dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones.[3]To synthesize a manganese(II) adipate coordinate complex with antiferromangentic property below 15K.[4]To synthesize active manganese oxide with potential application as an oxidant for organic compounds.[5]
