Description

  • Application: Efficient adsorption of aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons by electrospun hydrophobic PTFE-NiO composite nanofiber filter mats: This study highlights the application of Nickel(II) nitrate hexahydrate in the synthesis of Nickel Oxide (NiO) which is incorporated into polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) to create hydrophobic composite nanofiber mats. These mats demonstrate superior adsorption capabilities for both aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, offering significant advancements in environmental remediation technologies. The research underscores the potential of Nickel(II) nitrate hexahydrate in developing materials that are crucial for pollution control and environmental health (Mazhar et al., 2023).
